My partner and I were visiting Kyoto for 2.5 days and we wanted to center ourselves well. Location, location, location when you don't have a lot of time! We took the Shinkasen bullet train from Tokyo. There are train, bus and taxi options to the hotel. There's a bus stop very close to the hotel but we opted for the train so we could walk a little bit more through the small streets. It was about a 15min walk. The hotel is in a main area, the Nakagyo Ward, and there's shopping EVERYWHERE with a lot of sites to see within walking distance. Sometimes, it was hard to leave the area because we kept getting distracted with all the shops! The room was clean and fairly spacious compared to other hotels I had looked at. The room was quite warm when we entered and the hotel gave us a portable fan to use. We kept it on for awhile and turned off the heat. After that, no problem and we were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was it had great breakfast reviews. Sometimes, the only way I can enjoy a variety of traditional Japanese foods/side dishes, is through hotel breakfasts because many times, the readily available restaurants around a lot of the tourist sites are more ramen/katsu/curry fast foods. The breakfast buffet was great and had plenty of Western options for my partner, too, who was more picky about trying the different flavors. Recommend!

The room was comfortable with working air conditioning. They had a sliding wall that allows you to block out the light from the windows which I really enjoyed for sleep. There was a small closet by the entrance. Bathroom and shower were fine. Great buffet style breakfast, although last call at 9:30am and they get pretty cleared out past 9am. The front desk staff were very helpful and nice. It is in a great location near restaurants and shopping, and accessible to the different temples and tourist destinations by bus and train. They do room cleaning once every 4 days which we don’t mind and bring fresh towels and take out the trash.

The hotel staff were amazing, they were always happy to help. They kept our luggage when we arrived early at the hotel and it wasn't time to check into the room yet. They gave us a lot of recommendations for food in the area and even gave us a little map of all the nearby restaurants. The room was huge and the bathroom was also very spacious. Location is excellent too, within 1 minute walk you are on one of the main roads with lots of shops, there are also subway stations nearby as well as lots of coffee shops and restaurants.

Location was amazing. You're steps away from the market/shopping streets but just off set enough that it feels quiet and private. The hotel, staff and breakfast were all amazing. Starbucks a block away (if you need that), check out Koé Donuts (if you're love for donuts is as strong as mine), surrounded by traditional Japanese food, shops and market. I can't say enough about this hotel and location. Everything is at your fingertips. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Prime Entertainment Hub Location: This hotel boasts an outstanding location right in the heart of Kyoto's main entertainment district, putting you steps away from all the action. Convenient Public Transport: It's also incredibly convenient for getting around, with bus and train stations located nearby. Good Breakfast: The breakfast offered was tasty and satisfying, a great way to start the day.
